Level 1 Skydives

AFF
Level 1 Skydives will still need a full training course
but is ideal for people who perhaps have too many other
commitments to dedicate the time to a full course. After
the ground school you will be fully equipped to jump from
12,000' as part of a 3 man team, your 2 very experienced
AFF instructors will have hold of you all the way through
your skydive till you pull your own parachute at 5,000'.
You will then fly your own square canopy to a soft landing
on the DZ, being talked down over a radio to assist you
land softly on target.

AFF
level 1 is the most exciting day you will ever spend, and
your responsibility for your own actions also gives you an
enormous sense of achievement. Training is once again kept
to no more than 3 students per instructor ensuring that you
get the best of learning environments. Video footage of your
jump will normally be available at no extra cost for you to
remember the experience by.
If you wish to carry on skydiving and go on a full AFF course
after your Level 1 skydive, you can offset the cost against
the full course. Please use the Online Form above to request
more info.
Dates for level 1 courses, summer 2004:
- July 10th & 11th
- August 7 & 8th

Tandem
Skydiving
This
is more for the people who want the excitement of freefall
without the responsibility of their own actions. With only
a 20 minute brief you will be securely strapped to your very
experienced tandem instructor and exit together at up to 12,000'.
After freefalling to 5,000' your instructor will pull the
parachute and fly you to a soft gentle landing onto the DZ. A freefall video cameraman can normally be hired to record
the event so that you can replay the experience time and again.
Tandem skydiving is proving a very popular way of providing
an exciting day out for groups of friends or work mates who
want something a little more from their social life. |
 |
Tandem
courses are only run in this country, however if you are taking
part in our AFF courses a tandem for friends or family travelling
with you can always be arranged with the host DZ.
Check out Tandem Skydiving at Old Buckenham AIrfield, Norfolk for more details.
Static
Line Courses
This is a course of instruction for groups up to 12 in strength
who want to experience a parachute jump without necessarily experiencing
the thrill of freefall. After a days comprehensive training you
will be ready to jump all by your self from an aircraft at 3,500'.
Your parachute is activated by a static line running directly
from a strong point inside the aircraft to your parachute, which
will open automatically after you have left the aircraft.
It
is then up to you to steer your large square canopy to the DZ and
land safely. Forget the images of people rolling upon impact with
the ground under a round canopy, PhD skydiving will use only square
canopies that will allow you to achieve a soft, gentle stand up
landing on your very first jump.
Because
of it's training method and the way in which up to 8 students will
be in an aircraft together, jumping in quick succession, static
line courses are an excellent means of team building and allowing
people to bond together conquering a common fear.
Parachute
Displays
| Whilst
not applicable for training individuals PhD Skydiving can
arrange spectacular freefall parachute displays to excite
and entertain crowds. Whether it is the opening of a local
fete or the dynamic launch of a new company product, a parachute
display can give your event a huge degree of exposure.
Please
contact us for details of how we can arrange for your day
to be remembered !
